  • Visa Requirements

    For US Citizens

US passport holders do not need a visa to enter Germany for tourism or business purposes.

    For Non-US Citizens

Visa requirements vary by nationality. See here for a list of countries that may need to apply for a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa.

You can apply up to six months before travel, and we strongly recommend applying at least 8–12 weeks in advance, since appointment availability and processing times vary by consulate. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your departure date and issued within the last 10 years. If you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please contact network@kfp.org.
